Galilei’s Tank
This exhibit will help you understand the behaviour of a ball rolling down a slope:
Try to place the ball on the track so that it runs around all the obstacles in its slalom course. Can you do it? What does this say about their speed?
Galileo Galilei devised a similar experiment when he studied the free fall of bodies. He used an inclined plane to make things fall more slowly.
