Actionbounds

Actionbounds – Mathematics interactive and digital! It’s best to download the Actionbound app onto your smartphone at home and then start one of the three bounds in the Adventure Land (you can also download these beforehand). Collect points by answering tricky quiz questions and experience the exhibition in a whole new way. The offer is free of charge.

Maths and music

We all love music. But what many people don’t know is that music theory has a lot to do with mathematics. In the Maths Adventure Land there are many exhibits on the subject that you can discover in this Bound. This can sometimes make the head spin. However, you could already have the necessary prior knowledge from grade 7 onwards. Headphones and a tape measure or folding rule might be useful, but you can do without.

Golden and shady sides of mathematics

Maths can be found everywhere in our everyday lives – you’ve probably already discovered that for yourself. But there are actually some surprising connections between everyday life and maths that you probably don’t even know yet! In this Bound, you can find out what shadows have to do with maths, how mathematical laws can be used to uncover falsified data, what soap skins have to do with architecture and much more. You should plan about 45 minutes for this Bound. If you’re still curious afterwards, there are more exciting discoveries waiting for you at the end by extending the duration of the game by up to 45 minutes. You can play it alone, in pairs or in a group. Have fun with it! (Created by Elise Stroetmann)

Beautiful problems

This Bound is about unsolved mathematical questions. Mathematicians also say: open problems. But that is not meant in a negative way. On the contrary: many problems are beautiful – perhaps more beautiful than their solutions. Some exhibits in Maths Adventure Land tell of such problems. Examine them and collect points by guessing which problems have already been solved and which problems are still waiting to be solved. This Bound is designed for adults and teens 15+, but younger ones are welcome to try it.
