Whitney’s Music Box
This is a musical exhibit:
48 coloured dots rotate in a circle around the same centre. While the largest dot circles once around the centre, the second largest makes two revolutions, the third largest three, and so on. Each dot triggers a different sound when it passes through a horizontal line. This creates a piece of music.
This presentation is based on ideas from the book “Digital Harmony” by John Whitney. We thank Jim Bumgardner for the implementation.
