Schools visiting
Mathematics Adventure Land is a permanent hands-on exhibition in
Dresden, Germany. Its aim is to bring visitors closer to mathematics in
an entertaining way and to awaken their interest in mathematical
thinking. The exhibition is aimed at visitors of all ages, but pupils
from all types of schools are of course a particularly important target
group. Mathematics Adventure Land is therefore prepared for visits by
school classes.
As an out-of-school place for learning, Mathematics Adventure Land
offers a variety of opportunities to experience mathematics both inside
and outside the classroom. At the same time, the topics covered in the
Adventure Land are related to the mathematics curriculum in many ways.
This makes it possible to integrate a visit to Adventure Land into the
lessons. The visit should focus on the experience of play and the joy of
activity.
On the following pages you find suggestions for visits of classes or
groups of pupils to Adventure Land, as well as information on
organisation and materials for follow-up work in class. On certain dates
we also offer courses and workshops for teachers. Further information
can be found on the homepage of the Dresden Technology Collections museum.
