School
Maths Adventure Land is a permanent hands-on exhibition in Dresden that offers mathematics “to touch”. Its goal is to bring mathematics closer to visitors in an entertaining way and to awaken their interest in mathematical topics. The exhibition is aimed at visitors of all ages, but of course students of all school types are a particularly important target group. The Mathematics Adventure Land is therefore prepared for visits by school classes.
As an extracurricular place of learning, the Maths Adventure Land offers a variety of opportunities to experience mathematics in addition to and outside of the classroom. At the same time, the topics addressed in the Adventure Land are related to the mathematics curriculum in many ways. This makes it possible to integrate a visit to the Adventure Land into the lessons. This visit should focus on the playful experience and the joy of activity.
On the following pages, you will find suggestions for visits by your classes or groups of pupils to the mathematics learning site, as well as information on organisation and materials for follow-up work in class. On certain dates we offer further courses and workshops for teachers. You can also find more information on the homepage of the Dresden Technical Collections.
